User experience:


EdPuzzle is an interactive video platform for teaching. Teachers can take any online video (e.g., from YouTube) and embed questions, voice comments, and quizzes directly into the playback. It also allows teachers to track student progress and understanding.



Key Features & Function:

  • Video Cropping: Trim videos to show only the most relevant segments.
  • Embedded Questions: Insert open-ended questions, multiple-choice quizzes, or notes at any point in the video.
  • Voice-over: Teachers can add their own voice narration over the original video audio.
  •  Progress Tracking: Monitor each student's viewing progress and quiz results.
  •  Prevent Skipping: Settings prevent students from skipping the video content.



Usefulness in Language Teaching:

  1.  Teachers can use short English film clips or news reports and embed listening comprehension questions.
  2.  Students can practice speaking and shadowing by repeating dialogues or narrations from the video.
  3.  Ideal for flipped classrooms, where students watch the video and complete pre-class tasks.
